Nursing homes Austria 2023

Currently, there are just over 900 nursing homes with around 80,000 beds in Austria. Demographic change will lead to a massive increase in demand in the coming decades. The number of people over 75 and therefore potentially in need of care will double by 2050. 

The second market report on the subject of nursing homes deals with population trends and the resulting additional demand for beds that will arise in the regions in the future. The asset class will also gain in importance as an investment product, even if the majority of care homes are still operated by the public sector or non-profit organisations.
